Enabling Browser Cookies

When Warpwire is embedded into an Learning Management System (Canvas, Sakai, Moodle, etc.) via iframe, there can be some issues with cookies. To ensure a smooth experience, You may need to enable third party cookies in your browser, as Warpwire requires cookies to function. Here are instructions on how to enable third party cookies in all of the major browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the "options" button in the upper-right of the browser window.
  2. Click "Settings."

  4. Scroll down. Click "Show Advanced Settings..."
  5. Click "Content Settings..."

  7. Make sure "Allow local data to be set (recommended)" is selected.
  8. Click "Manage Exceptions..."
  9. In the field labeled "Hostname pattern" enter [*.]warpwire.com — be sure to include the square brackets before and after the asterisk.

  11. Verify the "Behavior" dropdown is set to "Allow", then click "Done."

Apple Safari

  1. Click "Safari" in the menu bar.
  2. Click "Preferences..."

  5. For the "Cookies and website data" option, select either "Allow from websites I visit" or "Always allow".

  7. (In older versions of Safari, for the option "Block cookies", select "Never.")

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the "Menu" icon.
  2. Open the "Options" (Windows) or "Preferences" (Mac) window.

  5. In the "History" section, choose "Firefox will: Remember history."

  7. You can also whitelist *.warpwire.com, if you need to otherwise limit cookies.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Click the "Tools" icon in the upper-right of the browser window.
  2. Click "Internet Options."
  3. Click to the "Privacy" panel.
  4. Click "Sites."
  5. Go to the "Address of website" field and enter [*].warpwire.com — be sure to include the square brackets before and after the asterisk.
  6. Click "Allow," then click "OK."
